Pitkävaara is located close to the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland. Pitkävaara has fantastic settings for freely wandering nature and outdoor pursuits with a variety of activities. Pitkävaara is located close to the town centre of Kemijärvi at only 3.5 kilometres. Distances to other towns, such as Salla is 60 kilometres and Rovaniemi 70 kilometres.

The Pitkävaara area comprises the Pitkävaara Hill and surrounding land areas. Pitkävaara has its own protected natural spring and its location in the groundwater area makes it self-sufficient with the cleanest water in the world. The hill is an outstanding location for admiring the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) at your own pace and in the heart of Lapland’s nature.

The area covers a total of 25 hectares. Of the total area, 14 hectares are located on the top of the Pitkävaara hill. The top of the Pitkävaara hill is 260 metres above sea level. Pitkävaara has construction rights for 10,000 square metres. Investing in Pitkävaara you will also own a downhill skiing slope. The downhill skiing slope covers a distance of 450 metres. The slope has lighting and there used to be a ski lift, but it has been dismantled.
